Omni-Step Manual & Electric:  Omni-Steps offer full manual operation where the step is pulled in and out by hand - or 12v operation of many versions of the single or double or slide-out steps which are all operated by a supplied 2-way switch. An optional relay and/or warning lamp or buzzer can be fitted to retract the step when the engine is started, and warn if not completed. Our own relay option contains a capacitor to aid operation. An optional electronic kit enables additional operation by door contact and allows retracting the step when starting the engine and/or if the door is opened and closed. Wiring diagrams are available on request. Please do note the difference between slide-out steps and swing-out / fold-out double / single steps - the mechanism, retracted positions, and the final step height all differ. Manual steps are not recommended for use on PSVs, mini-buses, motorhomes, etc., electric steps wired for auto-retract are the only recommended option for proper safety, insurance issues, etc.

Omni-Step Construction & Comfort:  All Omni-Steps have galvanised frames. The step is made of anodised aluminium with safe rounded edges. For most steps the side plates are in anodised aluminium and the end caps are fluorescent so they can be spotted easily in the dark. Both manual and electrical versions meet the European EN1646 standard. For improved strength the Omni-step 12v Double has double profiles on both sides.  Danger of slipping is avoided because the step is in ribbed aluminium and now incorporates anti-slip rubber strips. Please note that not all vehicles will accept a step. SWB versions are a particular problem but any converted vehicle can have obstructions - anything from pipes/cables to added chassis outriggers - please check yours!

Now with side door kits for slide-outs on Transit, Sprinter, Master and Ducato-Jumper-Boxer (NB for Medium and Long wheelbase Ducato-Boxer only - the silencer is in the way on short wheelbase versions!) ; also LED kits for added night-time visibility (not for 700 slide out) ; and the electronic pack for automatic operation.
