Slinglink & Networking:  These units can be used quite independently to create a simple 85 Mbps Ethernet network in your home or office without running network cables all over the place. One unit connected with a short Cat 5/6 cable to your main PC or Server or Switch or Hub or Router will act as the 'master', the second unit will then be a network access point for you to connect another PC, Laptop, Printer, etc., via another short Cat 5 cable. Buy a second pair and you can then use each of these to connect another item to the same network. The single port is appropriate because these are to connect single items just where they are plugged in without lots of long trailing cables. The network is actually connected via signals sent along normal mains electricity wires - all very clever, very reliable, and completely plug & play.
