Safari-Room 5-Series Kits:  The traditional '5 Series' Safari-Rooms are available as kits from stock in the popular sizes and colours to suit the 5000, 5002, & 5500 models. A complete safari room consists of side & front panels with poles & clips, while our kit includes blue or grey fabric curtains and a 4½m vehicle skirt plus skirt fixing rail and also a hold-down kit The two plain side panels each have a window and the colour matched front panel has a window on the left and a door on the right as viewed from the outside. UK Kits may be made up using Residence fronts (But 'made to size rooms' always have the full Safari-room panel set including colour matched sides). Larger rooms of 5m or more have two front windows and come with an extra curtain. Please note the the earlier Rio and Paris curtains are discontinued as is support for the 4000 series. Buy Now >>>

Why a kit?  It contains all most people need. Isn't it dearer?  Well yes, but cheaper than buying the various bits later!  What's in it?  Sides with Windows, Front with Window & Door, Vehicle Skirt, Skirt Rail, Fabric Curtains, Hold Down.  Why a skirt?  It stops draughts, rabbits and cats from entering under the 'van, you'll surely not want to experience the after effects of a visit from a tom-cat!!  Why a hold-down? To stop the room acting like a kite, it provides extra holding power combined with elastic shock absorption to stop a blustery breeze from working the securing pegs out of the ground. Do I have to have the full kit? No you can opt for any combination you want with a full price adjustment, we just say kits are the best value!

These kits cover the common projections up to 2.50m and the common mounting heights in the range 2.20m to 2.60m, there is also and XL option for heights up to 2.80m, this mounting height is measured from the base of the awning body to level ground. To get exactly the right fit we will need to check with you the awning model, length, mounting height and projection; we will happily help you with all this before or after placing your order. Most of this info is in the long number on the bar coded label inside the awning casing. Popular colours like Curacao, Miami, and Bahamas are usually in stock as are most lengths up to 5m. Other sizes including extra wide 2.75m projection and extra large mounting heights of over 2.60m Safari-rooms can often be made up from components but can always be made to size. The 5800 and 6000 series awnings have special Safari-rooms found on other pages.
