Limited Availability:  The traditional Safari-Room is no longer a UK stock item. It has been largely replaced by the new and improved design Safari-Residence. The few kits listed here are hybrids using the large Room sides and the standard Residence front - so with window 'panes' in the sides but plain in the front. This is actually just what most other retailers now supply as a Safari-Room. True Safari-Rooms can still be obtained but only to-order. We import these from the manufacturer in Belgium and these take anything from 2- 6 weeks depending on spec and on Belgian stock.

Safari-Room 5-Series Kits (Hybrid):  The traditional '5000 Series' Safari-Rooms are available from stock as kits in 2.5m projection and large height only, in most colours to suit the 5000, 5002, & 5500 models. A complete safari room consists of side & front panels with poles & clips, while our kit includes blue or grey fabric curtains and a 4½m vehicle skirt plus skirt fixing rail and also a hold-down kit. The two plain side panels each have a window with 'panes' and the colour matched Residence front panel has a plain window on the left and a door on the right as viewed from the outside. UK Kits are now made up using Residence fronts but 'made to size rooms' always have the full Safari-room panel set including colour matched sides. Larger rooms of 5m or more have two front windows and come with an extra curtain. Rio and Paris curtains are now discontinued as is support for the 4000 series. Buy Now >>>

Why a kit?  It contains all most people need. Isn't it dearer?  Well yes, but cheaper than buying the various bits later!  What's in it?  Sides with Windows, Front with Window & Door, Vehicle Skirt, Skirt Rail, Fabric Curtains, Hold Down.  Why a skirt?  It stops draughts, rabbits and cats from entering under the 'van, you'll surely not want to experience the after effects of a visit from a tom-cat!!  Why a hold-down? To stop the room acting like a kite, it provides extra holding power combined with elastic shock absorption to stop a blustery breeze from working the securing pegs out of the ground. Do I have to have the full kit? No you can opt for any combination you want with a full price adjustment, we just say kits are the best value!

These kits cover only 2.50m projection and the large mounting height of 2.40m to 2.60m. Other sixes are only available as made to order and size items on extended delivery. The mounted heights are measured from the level ground to the underside of the mounted awning casing. It is best to measure at each end - towards both the front and rear of the vehicle - because these heights often differ even when it all looks level!

We may need to check with you the awning model, length, mounting height and projection to get exactly the right fit and we will happily help you with all this before or after placing your order. Most of the info is in the long number on the bar coded label inside the awning casing but you always need to measure the height/s. Popular colours like Curacao, Bahamas, Alaska, Blue Sky, etc, are usually in stock as are most lengths up to 5m. Others may be ex Belgium on 2-3 wks delivery. Buy Now >>>
